The "Growth" Continues

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Jai Shri Mataji!

By the grace of our Mother, many yogis and yoginis were able to come out this past Memorial Day work weekend at Nirmal Nagari to volunteer! What a wonderful collective effort it was!

With tremendous research and organization done by many leading up to this work weekend, the type and quantity of seeds were carefully and considerably selected. All the preparation was done, the landscape fabric was down, and it was off to the nursery for seeds and seedlings!

With yogis of all kinds of agricultural experience and knowledge, it was a joyful opportunity for sharing, exposure and education to agriculture and different plants and herbs. Below is an updated map of the Grow For Canajoharie Garden and all that was planted this weekend.

Besides planting all the seeds, the straw was laid and the watering hose system was set up! Fun story- at one point, we had to disconnect the main water intake to the garden to make a change and reconnect it. While it was open, a few yogis “piped” Shri Shakambari Devi mantra into the irrigation tubes to “flow” to all the plants before the water came through! Moments like this and many more was what made this such a joyful, productive and collective weekend!

By the attention and love of our Mother, the garden at Nirmal Nagari is really coming together! To carry forward, we are asking for your continued loving attention and participation with this project. This upcoming weekend we plan to add any necessary plant cages, maintain our work thus far and anything else that may come our way! In case you need a ride to the land, please indicate the same.
